How do I apply to become a student at Pearls Dance Academy (PDA)?

To become a student at PDA, you must attend a consultation. Consultations consist of 3 steps:

  1. A LIVE assessment class for the prospective student. One of our qualified teachers will teach a 30-minute group class to assess which style of dance & level is best suited for them. The prospective student must be present.
  2. A parent/ guardian briefing. This is conducted simultaneously while the assessment class is in progress. In this briefing, we will review the class offerings & schedule, costs, uniform & dress code, etc…
  3. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of $20 USD to begin your application process.
When do applications open for new students?

Applications for consultations open from June until August each year.

When does the year start and end and are there any breaks during the year?

Our dance year consists of 10 months and runs from September to June.

Within these months there are 3 Terms:

  1. Term I (September to December)
  2. Term II (January to March)
  3. Term III (April – June)

Your dance commitment to any particular track begins the moment you register until the end of Term III.

What is the billing cycle for monthly subscriptions?

Your billing cycle begins on August 1 and ends on June 30 of the following year. Each month you will be billed on the 1st and payment is due on the 25th of that month for the month to come. 

A late fee of USD $2.50 will be charged to your account 48 hrs after the due date. If your account is outstanding for more than 7 days, your access will be suspended until it is settled.

Are there additional fees during the year?

Separate fees apply during the year for items such as dance apparel, costumes rental for shows, event tickets & exams. These items are sold separately and are not included in your monthly subscription plan.

Exam fees may range from USD $77.50 – USD $125

Costume fees may range from USD $32.50 – USD $57.50

Are subscription plans shared between family members?

Unfortunately, plans can not be shared between family members. Each student must have an individual plan. However, there are family bundles available.

Are refunds available?

There are no refunds available.

What are my payment options?

We are always looking for convenient ways to accept payment. These methods are available in the ‘Ways To Pay’ section below.

Can I switch tracks at any time during the year?

No. Since you are making a year commitment to training, changing classes will interrupt your progress.

Can I change my subscription plan during the year?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan in January but notice must be given in December.

Can I cancel my subscription?

If you can no longer commit to classes or decide that PDA is not right for you, you can easily cancel your subscription in March.

What happens if I want to cancel?

If you can no longer commit to classes or decide that PDA is not right for you, you can easily cancel your subscription at the mid-year point (March).

Internet Banking

Transfer money from your bank account to PDA. Please contact us for the specific bank details.

Point of Sale

Visit our office each month and swipe your VISA, MasterCard or Debit card.

PayPal

Proceed to checkout out through your portal each month. A transaction fee of  5 % will be applied to your check-out total.

Check

Visit our office each month & pay with a check made out to Pearls Dance Academy Inc.
